Considering I’m in the process of changing jobs and still need to do some clothes shopping so I actually look presentable in a proper business environment, the last thing I need to do is spend money on something frivolous that I don’t need.
Like this 1Gb MP3 player for £50.

Look at it this way.
You’ve gone what 2 weeks? now without ciggies. How much money would you have spent?
Tenner? Fifteen?
Now add the virtual money you’ll be saving assuming you can stay off the nicotine for the next 3 weeks- and that’s paid for the MP3 player.
So you’re not technically out of pocket. Sorta. Kinda.
Actually you’ve got a point. At the rate I was smoking at the end, it would only take one more week to save enough money to pay for the MP3 player.
So I can actually afford it! Yay! Good thing too, since I’ve already paid for it!
