One Response to “Glad I wasn’t coming in from Aldershot this morning…”
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Yeah & mucho screwdo it made my journey this morning.
Turned up at Waterloo @ 8 to be confronted with no sub-urban trains leaving.
I figured, as long as I could jump a fast one to Wimbledon or Raynes Park then I could catch a bus onwards, but no-one knew which trains were about to leave & which ones weren’t.
So at a colleagues suggestion, we both jumped the Northern line down to South Wimbledon & then hung around for the bus to turn up (it would’ve been the one I woulda caught at Raynes Park anyhow).
So my 25min journey from Waterloo became an hour & a quarter.
Joy.
But yeah, you shoulda heard the excuses- ‘Incident at Clapham’ plus ‘over-run engineering works at Wimbledone’ plus ‘signal problem at Vauxhall’.
That’s what’s annoying.
No consistant story.
Just tell us what the problem is- not make up stuff.
[sigh]
Oh well.
In terms of the fire tho- reminiscent on the fire I saw burning away nicely on the track back in Oct?
